Common fisheries policy (CFP) reform

ORAL QUESTION H-0447/02
for Question Time at the part-session in June 2002
pursuant to Rule 43 of the Rules of Procedure
by Fernando Pérez Royo
to the Commission

The proposal for a reform of the CFP adopted by the Commission has been rejected by the industry and by a large number of  Member States and Members of the European Parliament.

Despite the Commission's claims that it adopted its proposals following extensive consultations with the industry, the industry feels completely out of tune with the proposal's provisions, as does the EP, which on 17 January 2002 adopted a resolution on the Green Paper on the future of the CFP.

Which of the ideas put forward in that resolution (T5-0016/2002) did the Commission take into account before adopting its reform proposal?
