Obstacles to the internal market for services

In its report 'The State of the Internal Market for Services', the Commission highlights the ban in Sweden on estate agencies engaging in other activities such as property management, financial consultancy or cleaning. This rule prevents the development of estate agencies into a full service for home buyers and sellers. It also restricts opportunities for exporting service skills which could lead to the emergence of better, cheaper services.

 

What measures has the Commission taken and does it plan to take against the restriction in Sweden of estate agencies' product development?
