Aeronautics is one of the rare success stories within the European venture. This sector, which provides employment for hundreds of thousands of skilled workers throughout the continent, is of key importance to our economy and countries. It acts as a real vector of technological progress and is an essential component in the mobility of our people.

What place does the Commission intend to give to this industrial sector in its forthcoming White Paper on transport?
