Proposal to award C.E.C (European Citizenship Certification)

WRITTEN QUESTION E-2636/09
by Roberta Angelilli (UEN)
to the Commission

The C.E.C is a quality certification method which is of potential interest to every single citizen, whether in his or her private life or in their interactions with the wider community.

The purpose of the certification in question is to ensure the individual's life experience and personal education and training conforms with specified quality standards in the civic, social, anthropological, moral and ethical domains. In particular, this certification sets a model for individual lifestyles which is conducive to social welfare, on the principle that individuals seeking quality on their own account will tend to modify their own behaviour and requirements in such a way as to bring them into line with fully fulfilling the requirements of society as a whole.

In view of the foregoing, would the Commission state whether it is aware of this project and outline the general situation?
