Further to the Commission’s answer of 19 November 2010 to Question P‑8936/2010, what is the current situation with regard to a possible legislative proposal to extend the implementation period after 11 March 2013 for repeated-dose toxicity, reproductive toxicity and toxicokinetics, as outlined in that answer?

The Commission says that, as for all of its proposals, the impact assessment of this issue will need to take into account the potential economic, social and environmental consequences of these options. What consideration is being given to animal welfare requirements in line with Article 13 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, as introduced by the Lisbon Treaty?
