UK High Speed 2 (HS2) rail link — technical specifications for interoperability

Under Directive 96/48/EC[1] on the interoperability of the trans-European high-speed rail system, the technical specifications for interoperability (TSI) for high-speed rolling stock lay down noise limits for such services. HS2 plans to run services at 400 km/h, faster than any other high-speed rail service currently in operation in Europe.

Can the Commission ask the European Railway Agency to review the compatibility of those speeds with this TSI?
