It has been reported in the press that the EU has promised EUR 1.6 billion in macro-financial assistance to Ukraine[1]. Given the breakdown of the rule of law in Ukraine, and the potential for corruption and wastage, could the Commission detail how the transfer of funds will be safeguarded?
