Current situation regarding European road traffic networks with relevance across Member States

1. What role is played by European routes within the boundaries of the European Union, for which the European Agreement on Main International Traffic Arteries (AGR) constitutes the basis, in the determination of the construction and extension of trans-European traffic networks by the Commission?

2. What percentage and how many kilometres of the respective road networks and trunk road networks of each Member State of the European Union have relevance across Member States or must currently be included as relevant in the Commission’s opinion for the comprehensive achievement of the Union’s objectives such as the smooth operation of the internal market and the strengthening of economic and social cohesion?

3. What figure can the Commission put on the current investment backlog, across Europe and broken down into the individual 28 Member States, for all routes which must be included in the complete achievement of the Union’s objectives?
