to the Commission
Rule 130
Marlene Mizzi (S&D)

According to the Commission’s mid-term report on the EU’s 2012-2016 strategy for the eradication of human trafficking, 30 146 victims were registered in the 28 Member States from 2010 to 2012, 80% of whom were women and girls. 69% of all victims, and up to 95% of female victims, are trafficked for sexual exploitation. 71% of male victims are trafficked for labour.

What steps has the Commission taken to counter this trafficking?
