With reference to Written Question E-006497/2014, Mr Katainen answered on behalf of the Commission as follows: ‘… a Commission opinion on Spain's Draft Budgetary Plan for 2015 (including the independent production or endorsement of the underlying macroeconomic forecasts) will be adopted and made public, in principle no later than end-November 2014, as required by Regulation (EU) No 473/2013. The transposition of Council Directive 2011/85/EU into Spanish law is still being assessed by the Commission.’

1. Is the Commission satisfied with the Spanish proposal for the establishment of an independent body through the adoption of the statutes of the Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility?

2. Has the Commission assessed the transposition by Spain of Council Directive 2011/85/EU? Is it satisfied with the result?
