In view of what happened to the Iranian woman Ghoncheh Ghavami, who was arrested with several other women for attempting to enter the stadium to watch the Iran-Italy volleyball match, what steps will the Commission be taking to make European citizens, and others, aware of the situation of women in Iran and many other Middle Eastern countries?
