A homeless person is currently ‘residing’ by the Espace Simone Veil entrance in front of our Parliament in Brussels. Another homeless person, his ‘neighbour’, is living by the entrance to Gare Bruxelles-Luxembourg, which is adjacent to the Parliament building.

Does the Commission have estimates concerning the number of homeless people living in the European Union?

Are there data on the numbers of homeless people broken down by Member State?

Is there a programme to help these people?
