The leader of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), Abdullah Öcalan, has called on its militants to end their armed struggle against the Turkish State, started in 1984.
Is the EU in a position to play an active role in a potential peace process between Turkey and the representatives of the Kurdish people?
To what extent could the new situation, in the opinion of the High Representative, help with the re-establishment of constitutional order in Syria and the pacification of Iraq?
