In the wake of the reintroduction of border controls by Berlin, many refugees have opted to wait within the confines of train stations, amongst other locations, before seizing the opportunity to leave without risk of identification during their journey.

For many third-country nationals, the procedure of being photographed for identification purposes is something they want to avoid, as that procedure would then require them — in accordance with the Dublin III Regulation — to be returned to the country in which they requested asylum, as applicants must remain in whichever country represented their point of first entry until the asylum procedure is completed.

Given that Germany, Spain and France have all accused Italy of laxness with regards to identification procedures, can the Commission please answer the following questions:
