A violent storm has recently hit the city of Florence, causing a great deal of damage: flooded streets, injured people, broken-down trains, an electricity blackout and drinking water being cut off. All of this has caused damage to the tune of millions of euro, forcing entire families to flee their homes.
In the light of this disaster, and given that the president of the regional government has announced that he will call for a state of emergency to be declared:
- 1.can the Commission say which instruments, if any, and which emergency funds it intends to use with a view to proper planning in terms of drawing up a reliable programme to upgrade public green areas and renovate the city’s urban heritage?
