Participation in Horizon 2020 by Israeli companies involved in settlements

According to information published on the CORDIS website, several Israeli companies with activities in settlements have ongoing projects receiving funding from Horizon 2020. The involvement of some of these companies (Elbit, IAI, Hebrew University, Motorola) in settlement activity has been heavily documented by several human rights organisations, including Israeli research centre ‘Who Profits’ and the Norwegian Government.

In view of the fact that the abovementioned companies have ongoing activities in Israeli settlements, has the Commission done anything else — other than obtaining a declaration of honour from the project participants that they have taken the necessary internal action — to ensure that any aspect of any activity funded under Horizon 2020 is not taking place in illegal Israeli settlements?
