Question for written answer E-001467-16

Erasmus Mundus programmes have been developed in order to assist students from various countries in gaining new knowledge in a certain field. These programmes play an important role in a student’s life and make it possible to deepen the quality of higher education and to expand dialogue between nations.

Why do students have to pay for the registration of their application for Erasmus Mundus programmes?

As students are at the very beginning of their careers and are likely to have difficulty paying the admission fees, is it possible for these fees to be abolished?
