Question for written answer
to the Commission
Rule 130
Geoffrey Van Orden (ECR) , Morten Messerschmidt (ECR)

Subject:  Sri Lankan fish exports to the EU
 Answer(s)

Given that the Sri Lankan authorities have now successfully implemented the required measures to regulate their fisheries, and given the importance of the fisheries sector for the post-conflict economic recovery and rehabilitation in Sri Lanka, can we be assured that the EU ‘red card’ will be withdrawn at the earliest possible moment without unnecessary bureaucratic delay?

On what date can this be expected to happen?
