Given that the Sri Lankan authorities have now successfully implemented the required measures to regulate their fisheries, and given the importance of the fisheries sector for the post-conflict economic recovery and rehabilitation in Sri Lanka, can we be assured that the EU ‘red card’ will be withdrawn at the earliest possible moment without unnecessary bureaucratic delay?
