The Commission wants to grant Market Economy Status (MES) to China, which would have an impact on the steel industry in the EU and in the UK. How many EU jobs does the Commission foresee will be lost?

How does the Commission intend to impose adequate tariffs on dumped goods and prevent Chinese companies undercutting domestic production with cheap goods if the country is granted MES?

Does the Commission fully understand the threat to the domestic steel industry if China is granted MES?
