According to a report produced by the European Parliamentary Research Service (EPRS), the global use of water resources is hampered by the lack of established standards. The European Environment Agency has also concluded that there is a lack of harmonised approaches across the EU.

What concrete steps does the Commission intend to take to solve the abovementioned issues?
