to the Council
Rule 130

What are the Council’s intentions as regards the seat of the European Parliament? Though Parliament extends over three cities, only one has genuinely been regarded as its seat from the outset: Strasbourg.
Transport links to and from Strasbourg are improving all the time — the high-speed rail link and the new airlines are major factors in this — and ensuring security on the Strasbourg site is much more straightforward than in Brussels.
Can the Council make a clear statement in favour of upgrading Strasbourg?
