Education is a very important factor in identity building. Given the aftermath of the Brexit referendum and increasing Euroscepticism, education should promote the feeling of belonging to the European Union from an early age.

In the light of the above:

• 1.Does the Commission plan to encourage EU studies in the primary and middle schools of all Member States by recommending that the authorities responsible include such a subject in the curriculum and providing guidance on the content?
• 2.If the Commission is already working on such a project, when will it be ready?
