In a recent statement, the French Minister of State for Foreign Trade said that he did not have France’s political backing to continue with negotiations on the EU-USA trade agreement and asked for them to be suspended.

Can the Commission confirm whether the negotiations on the EU-USA trade agreement have in fact been suspended?
