Many Europeans care deeply about the environment: 67% of them would like the EU to do more on environmental protection, according to a Eurobarometer survey commissioned by the European Parliament.

Apart from action in several areas of environmental policy, such as air and water pollution, waste management and climate change, is the Commission planning to take action in other areas of environmental protection at a European level?
