On 29 September, EFSA announced that it would be releasing the majority of the raw study data used in its toxicity assessment of glyphosate to parties who have made an access to documents request.

This step has been described by both industry and civil society as unprecedented, and whilst it remains to be seen which data are still withheld as a first step it is to be welcomed.

Will EFSA now make this standard practice for other authorisations, and if not, why not?
