The economic crisis in Europe has hit EU citizens very hard, and in particular young people. It is therefore extremely important to promote and uphold policies to foster youth entrepreneurship, in order to create secure quality jobs and boost the social development and cohesion of communities.

Can the Commission explain what actions the EU is taking to invest more in start-ups and in young EU citizens taking on entrepreneurship, thereby facilitating their access to initial and affordable capital?

What measures is the EU taking to introduce an entrepreneurial culture at an early age and to promote it across the Member States?
