Given the current fragility of EU-Turkey relations and the conflict close to the shores of the eastern Mediterranean, it is even more important that a successful reunification of the island of Cyprus should take place, recognising the interests and concerns of both communities.
What action is being taken by the Council to encourage a rapid return to the until recently successful negotiations at Mount Pelerin, following the apparent breakdown on 22 November?
