On 26 February, a report appeared in the Czech media concerning possible anti-Jewish propaganda disseminated during a children’s dance competition in Nablus in the West Bank. The Palestinian Media Watch institute reported that music with lyrics about the need to attack Israel was played as a soundtrack during one performance. The winners were awarded a map of ‘Palestine’ that presented all of Israel as ‘Palestine’ together with the areas administered by the Palestinian Authority. The competition was organised by the Yafa Cultural Center, which receives financial support from several European stakeholders, including the EU.

Does the Commission consider this to be a problem that needs to be solved? Does the Commission consider it opportune and necessary to verify how these funds were allocated and spent? If the organisation has misused money for propaganda purposes, does the Commission intend to ask for that money to be paid back?
