I have been approached by a constituent in the South West of England concerning the case of Kamal Foroughi. He is a dual British-Iranian citizen and has been held since May 2011 in Evin Prison, Iran, on spying charges. During this time he has been denied any visitors and refused medical care.

Is the Commission aware of this case and what steps will it take to try and secure Mr Foroughi’s release?
