In recent weeks, reports of dangerous manoeuvres by Russian fighter aircraft in the Baltic region have again become more frequent. ‘Dark’ flights are also continuing.

In view of this, what is the Commission’s assessment of the level of air safety in the Baltic region? Does the behaviour of Russian fighter aircraft also endanger civil flights over the Baltic? What can and will the Commission do to improve air safety in the Baltic region?
