Could the Commission confirm whether any European funding has been given to the Dutch firm Seaway Heavy Lifting (SHL) and, if so, what were the conditions attached to the funding?

By way of background, a Scottish company, BiFab, is being threatened with closure due to a contractual dispute between the firm and SHL. As a result of this dispute, 1 400 jobs are at risk, 200 of which are in one of the most remote communities in the EU, on the Island of Lewis (Scotland).

What further action can the Commission commit to in order to ensure that the workers can be supported?
