Measures against Turkey because of its collaboration with ISIS

Question for written answer E-007327-17
to the Commission
Rule 130
Eleni Theocharous (ECR)

All of the EU’s institutional bodies are debating how to tackle terrorism. Is the Commission aware of the identity of the countries that have illegally bought natural gas and oil from so-called Islamic State (ISIS)? If so, to what extent is it considering taking measures against them, and what will those measures be? There is significant information that points to Turkey, an accession country to the EU, being one of those states. What is the Commission's position on this matter?
