Industry sources suggest that meeting the 3.6% mandate for advanced biofuels, as mooted in the REDII, will require investment in excess of EUR 25 billion.

Has the Commission established an estimate of the total direct investment costs required to meet the 3.6% target?

If so, will the Commission release the details of its calculations, including its full costings?

Has the Commission consulted EU enterprises that have made investments in biofuel production in EU Member States on its figures? If so, what sources have been consulted?
