Rule 130

On 11 February 2011, the Official Gazette of the Spanish State published a Resolution of 26 January 2011 from the Secretary General for Tourism and Internal Commerce, in which it gave details of a Collaboration Agreement for the development of a Tourism Competitiveness Plan for Puertas de Galicia. The parties to the Agreement are the Autonomous Community of Galicia, the Association of Municipalities for the Tourism Competitiveness Plan for the Comarcas of Monterrei and Conso-Frieiras, and the Puertas de Galicia Business Association for Tourism and Hotel Management.

Clause 7 of the aforementioned agreement stipulates: ‘In the case of regions being eligible in accordance with the objectives of the Community cohesion policy (2007-2013), and in order to be able to justify the contributions made to the competent bodies of the European Commission, certified copies of the original invoices for the actions completed under the Plan are requested’.

One of the most important investments relates to an adventure park in Laza called ‘Territorio Feitizeiro’ which, in the Agreement appears as ‘Bosque Mágico’ and later as ‘Santiago Park’.

Given that, in 2018, the work has still not yet been completed and nor has the investment kicked in, what follow-up has the Commission conducted regarding the ERDF funds that have been invested in this park?
