Can the Commission answer the following questions about reports concerning an app which makes it possible to report EU residents to the Turkish police for criticising the Turkish Government[1]?

1. Is the Commission aware of the existence of the app ‘Emniyet Genel Müdürlüğü’ and the possibility of downloading this app within the EU in the App Store and Google Play Store?

2. Does the Commission know on what scale this app is being used to report people, and does the Commission agree that it is undesirable for a system to exist by means of which critics of the Turkish Government can be reported to the Turkish authorities from the EU?

3. What view does the Commission take of the legality of such systems under European legislation?
