Does the Commission’s answer to Written Question P-0524/04[1] imply that, if, on the basis set out in the Good Friday Agreement, a majority of the people of Northern Ireland chose to discontinue the Union with Great Britain, the treaties establishing the EC and the EU would no longer apply to that part of the island of Ireland ?
