At the high-level conference on employment held in Milan this week, a number of Member States were critical of the complex, rigid procedures to be fulfilled in order to launch the European Youth Guarantee effectively and make use of the EUR 6 000 million allocated by the EU. Is the Commission intending to take any action in response to this criticism?

Could the Commission provide details on the situation with regard to the implementation (commitment and payment appropriations) of the budget headings relating to the Youth Employment Initiative, broken down by Member State?
