Question for written answer
to the Commission
Rule 130
Ashley Fox (ECR)

Subject:  Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora
 Answer(s)

In 2017 the CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) agreement will be up for review. Does the Commission intend to propose that certain African countries should be allowed to trade a small amount of ivory legally, and, if so, what is the justification for these proposals?
