This question refers to the answer to Question E-003384/2017.

At the EBRD, the EU is represented, inter alia, by an executive director who consults the Commission about projects subject to the approval of the EBRD and who, in voting, takes account of the suggestions received from the Commission[1].

Can the Commission indicate what suggestions it has made to the EBRD executive director concerning votes on the financing of the Ivankiv biomass power plant, and on what grounds?

Inspection of food imported from Ukraine is to continue only until 2020 and is confined to caesium 134 and 137 in animal products, honey, mushrooms and berries. Recent independent analyses have revealed persistent contamination not only of those but also of other foods in large areas of Ukraine, including a concentration of strontium 90 exceeding the limits for human consumption in 42% of grain samples from the Ivankiv district[2].

— Does the Commission consider such limited inspections to be sufficient to protect the health of European citizens? Please state reasons.— Will the Commission submit legislative proposals for the period after 2020? Please state reasons.
