At the Fourth European Parliament of Persons with Disabilities on 6 December 2017 the Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management, Christos Stylianides, announced new humanitarian aid measures consisting of more effective and systematic targeting of aid to persons with disabilities. In that context:

The measures referred to in the introduction and in Article 10 TFEU, which requires the EU, in defining and implementing its policies and activities, to aim to combat discrimination based on disability;

The European Parliament resolution of 14 March 2018 on ‘mercy’ killings in Uganda (2018/2632(RSP));

Article 3 TEU, which requires the Union, in its relations with the wider world, to uphold and promote its values and interests, emphasising among other things the protection of the rights of the child?
