When Germany was reunified, the decision was made to have one site for the government in Berlin and to find alternative uses for the buildings in Bonn. Has the Presidency shared the information about the savings made and lessons learnt with the rest of Council in order to stimulate a sensible debate on the European Parliament's Strasbourg-Brussels dilemma?

Die vorliegende Antwort, die vom Vorsitz ausgearbeitet wurde und weder für den Rat noch für die Ratsmitglieder bindend ist, wurde in der Fragestunde des Rates in der Plenarsitzung des Europäischen Parlaments im Februar 2007 in Straßburg nicht mündlich vorgetragen.

Der Vorsitz ist im Rat nicht auf die Frage seines Regierungssitzes eingegangen.
