  Charles Tannock (PPE-DE). – Mr President, I would like to move the following oral amendment on behalf of the PPE-DE Group. ‘Stresses the importance of strengthening unity and solidarity among the EU Member States in their relations with Russia. Welcomes, therefore, the common line taken by the EU in the negotiations with Moscow on the lifting of Russia’s ban on Polish agricultural products;’.

  Daniel Cohn-Bendit (Verts/ALE). – Chers collègues, vu la discussion que nous avons eue hier, nous voudrions remplacer dans le texte:

'Calls on the European Union to demonstrate solidarity with Estonia in the context of recent events in Tallinn;'

Dans le texte, là où apparaît Tallinn, nous voudrions,

‘in the context of the recent events in Moscow.’ The main problem was the way events were handled in Moscow, rather than in Tallinn, and we would therefore prefer the text to read ‘the events in Moscow’. That would seem more appropriate.

  Bart Staes (Verts/ALE). – Voorzitter, collega's, in naam van mijn Fractie de Groenen en de Europese Vrije Alliantie zou ik een poging willen doen om met een mondeling amendement het tweede deel van paragraaf 11 beter en correcter te formuleren. Dat tweede deel zou dan luiden als volgt, en ik zeg het in het Engels: "in particular by means of enhanced dialogue over Ukraine and Belarus and joint efforts to finally resolve the frozen conflicts in Moldova and the South Kaukasus". Dus "Nagorno-Karabach and Georgia" verdwijnen en worden vervangen door "in Moldova and the South Kaukasus".
