Jelko Kacin (ALDE). - Madam President, it has come to my knowledge that Serbia has not yet sent the signed agreement on integral border management (IBM) to the EU facilitator of the Belgrade/Pristina dialogue, Mr Robert Cooper. This agreement was reached on 24 February in the dialogue with Pristina and was one of the key reasons Serbia was granted candidate status on 1 March. Pristina sent the official and signed copy of the agreement to Mr Cooper while Belgrade has not yet done so. Implementation of the IBM is of utmost importance; Belgrade needs to act.
I call on the Serbian Government to hand in these documents and thereby keep its credibility and demonstrate its commitment to implementation of the agreement. I speak on behalf of all the shadow rapporteurs, whom I thank for their constructive work on the report.
