Last June, the Cámara de Comptos (the Court of Auditors of the Autonomous Community of Navarre) published a report on 'Funds received in Navarre from the European Union - Social Fund 1997-2003'. This report identifies a series of anomalies in the Navarrese Government's management of subsidies from the European Social Fund over that period, including inter alia numerous infringements of the regulations of the Structural Funds and the European Social Fund concerning the implementation, monitoring and justifying of Community aid(1). Given that the financial interests of the Community may be being harmed,

is the Commission aware of this report? Does it intend to investigate the irregularities it identifies?
