Abortion in Ireland

WRITTEN QUESTION E-4666/07
by Robert Kilroy-Silk (NI)
to the Commission

1. Is the Commission aware that women in Ireland are refused scans for pregnancy defects until 22 weeks, thus ensuring late terminations? Is this not a denial of women’s rights?

2. Is not the outlawing of abortion in Ireland an affront to women’s rights?
