E-009548-16
Question for written answer
to the Commission
Rule 130
Hannu Takkula (ALDE)

 Subject:  Anti-Tax Avoidance Package
 Answer(s)

At the beginning of 2016, the Commission announced that it was launching an Anti-Tax Avoidance Package. The aim of the package is to create effective, fair and transparent taxation between the EU Member States with an impact also extending beyond the EU area.

An Anti-Tax Avoidance Directive, based on the OECD’s BEPS recommendations, was prepared rapidly and published already in July.

In October, a revised proposal for a directive on a common consolidated corporate tax base (CCCTB) was also published. Good progress has been made during the year, but it would be good if the Anti-Tax Avoidance Package could be effectively finalised.

Therefore I have the following question to the Commission: What further measures does the Commission propose to take in the context of the package, and what time frame has it set for the finalisation of the package?
