Question for written answer
to the Commission
Rule 130
Roberta Metsola (PPE)

 Subject:  Labelling of food products
 Answer(s)

Italy has adopted a law requiring the clear labelling of Italian dairy products with the place of origin of their ingredients. The legislation applies to milk produced by any animal; products must now bear clear and legible labels indicating the country in which the milking and subsequent processing took place.

The law has also been passed to give effect to Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 on the provision of food information to consumers.

Can the Commission provide an update on which Member States have given effect to Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011?
