E-000444-18
Question for written answer
to the Commission
Rule 130
Salvatore Domenico Pogliese (PPE)

 Subject:  Selection procedure for trainees in the EU institutions
 Answer(s)

The number of young applicants for traineeships at the EU institutions and agencies is constantly on the rise. Every six months, thousands of candidates submit their applications online. A number of young applicants have expressed the desire to have greater information on the selection procedure.

Can the Commission therefore say:
1. Whether it intends to issue a handbook to clarify the recruitment criteria for trainees in all EU institutions;
2. Why there is no public ranking list regarding the selection, as happens in similar cases in some Member States?
