EP President Visit to Slovenia

Antonio Tajani, President of the European Parliament, will be in Slovenia this Friday for an official visit.  

Programme of the visit:

Friday:

09:00 Meeting with Borut Pahor, President of the Republic of Slovenia
10:35 Meeting with Miro Cerar, Prime Minister of Government of the Republic of Slovenia
11:25 Inauguration ceremony of the new European Union House in Ljubljana with Prime Minister Miro Cerar and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker
15:00 Debate with University of Ljubljana students on the future of the European Union

Antonio Tajani was elected to the presidency of the European Parliament on 17 January for a two and a half year term.

His presidency’s goals are to bring the European Parliament closer to citizens, while fulfilling his institutional role as a representative for Members of the European Parliament, the directly elected representatives of over 500 million EU citizens.
